Ladywell’s Vitality Spa & Sauna closes its doors

by | Jan 25, 2021

Ladywell’s Vitality Spa, Greenwood’s go-to space for women’s hydrotherapy, has sadly decided to not reopen once the pandemic subsides. Located in Piper Village and adjacent to Fred Meyers, Ladywell’s has been a beloved fixture in our community since debuting in 2007.

A farewell to the neighborhood has been posted on their website:

Dearest Ladywells fans,

What started as a dream and a wish 15 years ago became a reality 8 years ago, as we created and shared a healing community space for women.

Dear lovely Ladies of the Well’s, what we all thought would be a month or 2 of time off became 6 months and now nearly a year since we were shut down due to Covid. What a journey! We have shared joys and sorrows and are so grateful to have been blessed to be a place for respite and healing through water! SPA= Salus Per Aquam= Health Through Water.

During this time of closure, we have scraped, applied for assistance and looked for solutions to operational restrictions. We’ve been blessed to connect with the other sauna and spa owners in Seattle, all working together to get clearance and guidance with government. It breaks our hearts to have arrived at this place.

We are out of time and options to continue holding out for a time to resume operations.

There has been so much loss due to this virus. Please take comfort in knowing what we have all experienced here at Ladywell’s can never really be lost. More than ever, this world and city need a safe clean loving space for healing and community. It is our dearest dream for her to live on to nurture and heal women and we hope that is possible, we encourage you to contact ownership of the Sedges and ask that a spa fill the space our spa will leave.

So much gratitude to YOU, for walking this road with us, feeding us, celebrating with us and sharing with us during our time at Ladywell’s. Words cannot convey the intense mix of emotion. Only, “THANK YOU”. If you have questions for us, please email us at [email protected]. Please be patient as this is an extremely overwhelming and challenging process.
