PhinneyWould? – Responses – What are your favorite non-profit organizations?

by | Dec 18, 2020

Last week we asked you…

What are your favorite non-profit organizations?

It’s always great to hear about all of the great organizations out there. There are so many of them, and plenty of them are unfamiliar to many of us. And the input from our readers certainly didn’t disappoint.

“My favorite non-profit is Center for Children & Youth Justice. It’s not just my favorite because I work there, but mainly because of all the things CCYJ is doing to create better systems and better lives for the children and youth in Washington State.” – Catherine M.

Aurora Commons, Family Works, and PNA” – Jamie C

“Aside from the PNA, I love the work that the Aurora Commons does. They are trying to care for our most-impacted community and provide a space that makes them feel human and that they matter.” – Chris M.

FareStart!” – Andy W.

“I work at New Beginnings, and am able to see firsthand the great work we’re doing in the Phinneywood community for survivors of domestic violence. With COVID, survivors have been deeply affected by stay-at-home orders and are needing our services more frequently and for longer than they might typically because of increased rates of domestic violence and the subsequent economic downturn. Additional donations are needed now more than ever, and we’d appreciate any extra gifts people can manage!” – Molly L.

Wonderful input from our friends and neighbors here in PhinneyWood. I’ll also add a few others that my family is fond of: Treehouse, Mary’s Place, PAWS, and KEXP.

Love the responses! Keep them coming and be on the lookout for a new question next week!
