Virtual Concert with Eduardo Mendonça, Iona Fyfe, and Eric and Suzy Thompson this Saturday

by | Nov 16, 2020

Get ready for the first Seattle Folklore Society Virtual Showcase! Three sets from extraordinary performers, each approximately 30 minutes:

Eduardo Mendonça: A Touch of Brazilian Folklore – traditional, popular, and his own compositions interpreted on voice, guitar, and percussion. He is an exceptional musician and well loved as a teacher and mentor.

Aberdeenshire folksinger Iona Fyfe is one of Scotland’s finest young ballad singers, rooted deeply in the singing traditions of the North East of Scotland. Winner of Scots Singer of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2018, she has been described as “one of the best Scotland has to offer.”

Eric & Suzy Thompson – Southern roots music: blues, Cajun, rags, fiddle tunes and more. Eric’s flatpicking on guitar and mandolin is exceptional for its purity of tone, speed, and soulfulness; Suzy is a powerful singer, an award-winning fiddler and Cajun accordion player.

Saturday 11/21, 7:00 pm

Buy tickets through HERE. You will receive a link to view the concert on the day of show, which will be good for a 24 hour period. A standard ticket is $20, with options $10 if need dictates, or more if you are able to add support for the artists.
