Little Free Pantry comes to Greenwood

by | Nov 6, 2020

It’s hard to walk a block on Phinney Ridge without coming upon a Little Free Library filled with interesting, free books. In these challenging times there is a new free stand concept that is starting to pop up around Seattle, the Little Free Pantry.

The Woodland Park Presbyterian Church has created a beautiful and popular one in our neighborhood, and it will provide non-perishable foods and health items for our neighbors in need. It is next to the southbound bus shelter at 70th and Greenwood Avenue.

WPPC wanted to let us know about this pantry for three reasons:

First, we very much want to be a good neighbor. Church volunteers will be scheduled to  maintain the area to keep it clean on a daily basis.  If you have any concerns or suggestions about the operation and maintenance of the pantry, please contact us at [email protected] or 206-782-3776.

Secondly, if you would like to help with this project, please feel free to donate items.  You can place the items directly in the pantry.

Third: Please tell people you know of its existence.  Peace be with you – we wish you all well during these very challenging times.
