Center for Spiritual Living holding justice candle lighting and online prayer vigil this Sunday

by | Jun 13, 2020

The Center For Spiritual Living, which has recently relocated to our neighborhood in the former Greenlake Presbyterian Church at 6318 Linden Ave N, is holding an online prayer vigil this Sunday. Per a press release from CSL:

Join with Ministers and Practitioners across the country in affirmative prayer for Justice and Equality in our own Candle Light and Prayer Vigil.

We are grieving lives that ought not to have been lost. George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, are the most recent in a list of countless unarmed African American and Black people who have been murdered for the color of their skin over the past 400 years in the US. Too many generations have suffered, and it has never been, and is not now, acceptable.

We pray for the elimination of racism in the consciousness of our country and for the realization of equality and justice for all.

Bring your own candle and light it in solidarity with us as you listen and affirm our prayers.

When: Sunday (6/14) from 5:30 – 6:30pm
Talk Title: Justice Candle Lighting and Online Prayer Vigil
Speaker: Rev. Abigail Schairer
Musical Guest: Rev. Doug LeBow
Location: Facebook Live: https://www.facebook.com/CenterforSpiritualLiving
