Help Oliver’s Twist Ride Out the Covid Closure

by | Mar 23, 2020

Like many businesses unable to be open right now, Oliver’s Twist has started a fundraiser to help get through the Covid crisis. The $20,000 goal is to cover the following. Should they raise an amount of money that ultimately proves to be in excess of the needs, Oliver’s Twist will donate the remainder to another coronavirus-related cause.

  • Rent and property taxes: $10,000
  • Lost wages to staff: $5,000
  • Utilities: $500
  • Insurance: $500
  • Emergency cushion in case of extended closure: $4,000

Per owner Karuna Long: “Oliver’s Twist has been proud to serve our beloved Phinney Ridge community for 14 years, and we hope to do so for 14 more. Whether you’re one of our many regulars or only recently paid us a visit for the very first time, we’re grateful to have shared a drink and a laugh with each and every one of you. It’s with that neighborly love that we humbly ask you to consider making a contribution to the livelihood of Oliver’s Twist and to our wonderful staff, who face a tumultuous and uncertain road ahead. Your generous support will make the difference between whether we’re able to flip the lights back on at the bar once we’re allowed to reopen, and it’ll keep us clothed and fed in the meantime… We love and miss you all! See you on the other side.”
