Everything that made the Jazz Age so jazzy – flappers, bootleggers and the music of George and Ira Gershwin comes together in Nice Work If You Can Get It, a hilarious, screwball comedy that first appeared on Broadway in 2012 and tells the story of lovable, wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter and tough-talking bootlegger Billie Bendix. Tony-winning writer Joe DiPietro weaves the Gershwins most beloved hits together with big dance numbers into a madcap love story that pays homage to the Roaring 20s.
Woodland Park Players are not only actors, but also musicians, dancers, set-builders, costume designers and technical crew who live or work in the greater Woodland Park neighborhood. Together, we are committed to keeping the arts alive by producing one musical a year and donating all proceeds to arts programs for students in Seattle Public Schools.
