Local consignment store Kids on 45th is excited to announce a holiday giving-back program to support local nonprofit FamilyWorks, a family resource center and food bank that assists hundreds of children each year.

On December 16 from 4-6 p.m., Kids on 45th will host the FamilyWorks Family Shopping Night, a special holiday shopping event in which parents in the FamilyWorks network may choose holiday gifts or other necessities for their kiddos free of charge. Kids on 45th carries a variety of gently used and new clothes, shoes, toys, books, gear, and other childhood essentials.

“Every child needs and deserves to have their basic necessities provided for, and to receive some special presents this holiday season,” said Elise Worthy, owner of Kids on 45th and mom of two. “We feel honored to have this opportunity to provide clothing, gear, and toys for some of Seattle’s neediest children.”

Kids on 45th customers have been generously contributing to this charitable giving campaign since mid November, and donations are still being accepted in store at 1720 N 45th St. in Seattle. In addition to cash contributions, Kids on 45th customers who have consignment credit available in their accounts also have the option to donate it to this campaign and help support Seattle families in need this holiday season.

“Kids on 45th has been a tremendous partner over the years,” said Jake Weber, executive director of FamilyWorks. “They have always been there for our families when they are in need of clothing or supplies for their kids. Kids on 45th has been a true safety net that has been such a treasure. Thank you so much!”

Both Kids on 45th and FamilyWorks are located on N. 45th St in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. Kids on 45th is a local treasure and has been in operation for 30 years, outfitting generations of young Seattleites and providing an eco-friendly consumer experience for their parents. Nonprofit FamilyWorks assists hundreds of children each year, providing a vital support network for our community.
