Plenty to do in Phinney Ridge and Greenwood this weekend. Here are some highlights; check our Events calendar for more.
Phinney Farmer’s Market is from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., with fresh veggies, fruit, meat, eggs, honey, flowers, bread, ice cream, and several places to get a nice dinner. It’s also a special day for the Zucchini 500 Races – decorate a zucchini, put some wheels on it and run it down the track, from 4-6 p.m. And it’s Free PNA T-Shirt Day – visit the market’s PNA booth to sign up for a PNA membership and get a free T-shirt (or a PNA hoodie for only $10). If you’re already a member, you can add a year to your membership and get that free shirt.
It’s closing weekend for “Sweet Land, the Musical” at Taproot Theatre, 204 N. 85th St.
Windermere Summer Splash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Green Lake Small Craft Center with corporate crew races, fun and healthy activities for families, food vendors, entertainment and opportunities to try rowing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Free.
Bach & Pancakes from 12-1:30 p.m. Sunday at Jigsaw Records, 608 NW 65th St.
It’s the last weekend for the Gumshoe 5K Walk, taking you on a fun scavenger hunt through the neighborhood while raising money for neighborhood nonprofits. Entry forms are $20 each and available at Ken’s Market, Phinney Center and Couth Buzzard Books. There’s a special “Procrastishoe” that leaves Ken’s Market at 3 p.m. Sunday. Join a group of other fun folks and be followed by Gumshoe Guy Mike Veitenhans who may help out by muttering suggestions from the back of the group. Entry forms are due by 6 p.m. to qualify for the prize drawings.

- 27th annual Hempfest at Myrtle Edwards and Centennial Parks downtown Friday through Sunday.
- Mariners vs. LA Dodgers at Safeco Field at 7:10 p.m. Friday, 7:10 p.m. Saturday, and 1:10 p.m. Sunday.
- Halestorm + In This Moment concert at WaMu Theater Friday evening.
- Seattle Sounders vs. LA Galaxy at CenturyLink Field at 1 p.m. Saturday.
