‘Words in the Park’ at the new park by Greenwood Library next Wednesday

Greenwood Library and The Greater Seattle Bureau of Fearless Ideas present “Words in the Park” from 2-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at the new park next to the library (east side of Greenwood Avenue North between 81st and 82nd streets).

Activities include Bananagrams, magnetic poetry, reading selfies, prizes, snacks and more:

2-4 p.m. — Snail Mail Express: Write a stamped post card to mail to family and friends.

2:30 p.m. – Snail Mail Story Time

3 p.m. – Flowers for Stories: BFI students will trade flowers for your stories; then students will write poems to be displayed at the library.

4-5:30 p.m. – Let’s Paint an Orca: Indigenous writer Sondra Segundo will share stories and drawing lessons of orcas from the Haida people. (For students 9-18 years old; registration required.)
