Design process beginning for Green Lake Small Craft Center

by | Jun 12, 2018

Seattle Parks and Recreation is asking for community input to improvements to the Green Lake Small Craft Center at the southwest end of the lake.
On Tuesday, June 26, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the Green Lake Community Center, 7201 E. Green Lake Dr. N., you can meet the design team — Schacht | Aslani Architects – and learn more about potential ideas.

Schacht Aslani Architects completed a study of the existing building and programming needs in 2017. They will present this background work as the basis for moving forward. The project is currently funded through the first phase of design with a $100,000 grant from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. The Rowing Advisory Council is actively seeking additional funding for the subsequent design phases and construction from the Seattle Park District Major Projects Challenge Fund, State grants and private fundraising. The goal of this project is to make improvements to the facility to better serve the public.
