Woodland Park Zoo’s ‘Hoot for the Hood’ on June 20 celebrates neighbors

Woodland Park Zoo’s annual “Hoot for the Hood” is a neighborhood celebration from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20. Neighbors who live in Phinney Ridge, Wallingford, Fremont and Green Lake are invited to this free event, which features free ice cream, up close visits with some of the zoo’s ambassador animals, and the chance to meet other neighbors.
Hoot for the Hood begins at the zoo’s West Plaza (entrance on Phinney Avenue North between North 55th and 56th streets). Parking for this evening event is free.
