Greenwood Elementary School first school in Washington for ‘Let Me Run’ program for boys

by | Jun 5, 2018

Greenwood Elementary School is the first site in Washington for the “Let Me Run” program.

Let Me Run is a national nonprofit wellness program that inspires boys to be themselves, be active, and belong. With a comprehensive curriculum that applies the power of running, the program encourages boys to develop their psychological, emotional and social health, in addition to their physical health.

Greenwood PE teacher Jeannie Bastasch is the coach. Participants practice Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. They’ll participate in their first race, the Furry 5K, on June 10.

Let Me Run coaches go through special program training. Programs can be at schools, community centers, churches, etc. See the website for more information on becoming a coach.
