Seattle Public Library’s annual summer Book Bingo now through Sept. 4

by | May 30, 2018

Every summer, the Seattle Public Library and Seattle Arts & Lectures host Book Bingo for adults, to help expand their reading selections, with categories such as “finish a book you started and put down,” “recommended by a librarian,” “takes place in the area where you were born,” and “outside your bubble.”
You can pick up a Book Bingo card at any library branch, or download it from here.
To enter Book Bingo, mark out an entire row or all 25 squares for a Blackout, and bring your completed Book Bingo card to any Library location, or mail it to Seattle Arts and Lectures, 340 15th Ave. E., Suite 301, Seattle, WA 98112. You also can enter by posting a photo of your completed card using #BookBingoNW2018 via Facebook (@SeattlePublicLibrary @SeattleArtsAndLectures), Instagram (@seattleartsandlectures @SeattlePublicLibrary) or Twitter (@SeaArtsLectures @SPLBuzz). Entries must be received by 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4. This contest is for readers ages 18 and up.
Blackout cards will be entered in the drawing for the grand prize: a library of books by 2018-19 Seattle Arts and Lectures speakers and two tickets to SAL’s entire 2018-19 Season. Blackout cards also will be automatically entered in the bingo drawing.
Bingo cards with a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line filled in will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card from one of 14 local independent book stores. Winning entries will be selected at random.
The Library’s Summer of Learning for youth kicks off June 15 with educational programs and fun activities.
