Thursday’s public hearing for housing project at 7009 Greenwood Ave. N. has been canceled

by | Feb 12, 2018

Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections has canceled this Thursday’s scheduled public hearing about the “Shared Roof” project being planned for 7009 Greenwood Ave. N. We have a message in to the city planner about why it was canceled.
Last month, SDI recommended the City Council approve a rezone of the 12,185 square foot parcel of land from Neighborhood Commercial 2 with a 40-foot height limit to Neighborhood Commercial 2 with a 65-foot height limit. That would allow the building to be five stories tall, with 35 apartments, ground level retail and below-grade parking for 26 vehicles. (The existing single-family residence and detached garage at the southwest corner of the site will remain, and that portion of land will remain zoned as Single Family 5000.)
You can read the DCI’s original recommendation of the project here.
