Early Design Guidance meeting on Feb. 26 for 220-unit apartment building coming to 320 N. 85th St., replacing All That Dance building

by | Feb 12, 2018

The building currently housing All That Dance at 320 N. 85th St. (which formerly housed the Department of Licensing for years) will be replaced by a six-story, 220-unit apartment building with ground floor retail and parking for 130 vehicles.

The first Early Design Guidance meeting for the project will be at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at the Ballard Community Center, 6020 28th Ave. NW, in the Sunset Room.

The project requires rezoning from Neighborhood Commercial 2 and Neighborhood Commercial Pedestrian 2, both with a 40-foot height limit, to a new height limit of 65 feet. The existing building and parking lot will be demolished.

Written comments about site planning and design issues will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 23. Email comments to [email protected] and mention project #3026708.

The initial design proposal is not yet online, but will be before the Feb. 26 meeting.
