Public invited to review design elements for Greenwood Park expansion

by | Jan 25, 2018

Greenwood Park at North 88th Street and Fremont Avenue North is expanding and Seattle Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to review proposed design elements at an open house from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the North Seattle Boys and Girls Club, 8635 Fremont Ave. N. (directly across the street from the park). Enjoy light refreshments, treats and a Valentine’s Day activity.

Parks and Rec purchased the one-tenth of an acre site at 8809 Fremont Ave. N. in 2013.

The Seattle Park District is providing $463,050 for planning, design and construction of the addition. Planning began last fall. Design will happen now through fall, with construction beginning in the fall and ending in spring 2019.
