Free tax assistance at Seattle Public Library branches, including Greenwood and Broadview

by | Jan 22, 2018

It’s coming up on tax time, and trained volunteers from United Way of King County and AARP will be at several libraries, including our neighborhood, to help prepare personal tax returns (not available for business taxes). Some locations will have drop-in assistance available on a first-come, first-served basis. Other locations will provide tax help by appointment.
The following locations in and near our neighborhood are for drop-in tax help. Schedules are subject to change, so check the calendar. No tax help on Monday, Feb. 19, when libraries are closed for Presidents Day.

  • Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N., 206-684-4086. Help available from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays from Feb. 6 through April 17.
  • Broadview Library, 12755 Greenwood Ave. N., 206-684-7519. Help available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and 10 am. to 3 p.m. Saturdays from Friday, Feb. 2, through Saturday, April 14.
  • Ballard Library, 5614 22nd Ave. N.W., 206-684-4089. Tax help available from 2:30-7 p.m. Mondays and 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays from Thursday, Feb. 1, through Monday, April 16.
