Norse Home celebrating 60th anniversary with open house Saturday

The Norse Home, at 5311 Phinney Ave. N., is celebrating its 60th anniversary this Saturday with an open house from 2-5 p.m. with music, cake, an art show, history presentation, photo booth and special ceremony.
The festivities at the retirement and assisted living home begin at 2 p.m. with traditional Norwegian tunes by Seattle band Skandia Kapell. The Norwegian Ladies Chorus performs at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Norwegian Male Chorus at 3:15 p.m.
At 5 p.m., guests can pay $25 for a salmon barbecue dinner. Call 206-781-7400 to purchase dinner tickets. For questions, call or email [email protected], or send a Facebook message.
The following day the Norse Home will host a Father’s Day brunch with Swedish pancakes and traditional breakfast items from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for kids ages 5-12.
