Update Jan. 25: We have updated this post to remove her name, at her family’s request, after they have been inundated with media requests for interviews and are worried about her privacy. We will continue to be in touch with her family as appropriate.
Earlier: The owner of Le Merde boutique at 7313 Greenwood Ave. N., is one of the victims of last Thursday’s drive-by shooting in Belltown, according to friends who have started a Go Fund Me account to help pay her medical expenses.
According to Seattle Police, the shooting is being investigated as gang-related, and a suspect has not been arrested.
According to The Seattle Times, someone fired a gun around 10:50 p.m. Thursday outside The Crocodile, which was hosting an all-ages show. One man outside was wounded, while shots went through a window and wounded two women inside.
Friends have set up a Go Fund Me account to help pay her medical bills and support her shop. As of Sunday night, the fund had raised more than $8,000 toward its $12,000 goal.
Update Monday morning: Harborview Spokesperson Susan Gregg tells me she is in satisfactory condition.
