by | Dec 24, 2016

Little Sara and the Night Owls perform a holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N.

Taproot Theatre presents “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” Friday and next Tuesday and Wednesday; and “The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge” on Friday and next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

If you’re heading downtown on Saturday, remember that the Seahawks play the Arizona Cardinals at 1:25 p.m. at CenturyLink Field.

Metro Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday, the day after Christmas. Sunday fres apply. (If your bus does not normally operate on Sunday, it will not operate this Monday.) From Tuesday, Dec. 27, through Friday, Dec. 30, Metro will operate its reduced weekday and UW reductions service. Regular weekday fares apply.

And an update on a couple of events that happened in the neighborhood last weekend:

  • Café Bambino’s “A Shot with Santa” on Sunday raised $581 for the Ballard Boys and Girls Club.
  • Caroling under Gary’s Canopy brought out about 150 carolers who passed the hat and raised $398 for The Seattle Times Fund for the Needy. (Thanks to MikeV for the photo.)
