Holiday sing-alongs, North Pole on the Ridge, Santa and lots of concerts in Phinney Ridge and Greenwood this weekend

Here are some highlights of what’s happening in Phinney Ridge and Greenwood this weekend. Check our Events calendar for more.

The Cup” community open house from 2-5 p.m. Friday at Woodland Park United Methodist Church, 302 N. 78th St.

Taproot Theatre, 204 N. 85th St., is showing “A Charlie Brown Christmas” in the Isaac Studio and “The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge” on the mainstage.

Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., is hosting Micah Huang, Soulcem Acoustic Duo, and Erinn McGraw in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday; and Winter’s Return — A Celebration in Music with Pint & Dale & Tania Opland & Mike Freeman with some sing-alongs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Illumination Learning Studio, 7720 Greenwood Ave. N., is hosting its free North Pole on the Ridge from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday. Bring donations of non-perishable holiday foods, and/or new unwrapped non-violent toys for all ages and genders. Take a photo with Santa, make holiday cards and ornaments, carol with Mrs. Claus, plus there’s free gelato, cocoa, cider and treats.

The OK Chorale and the Greenwood Senior Center’s All Present: A Song Circle will sing holiday and winter favorites from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in the Brick Building, to raise money for its Early Stage Memory Loss programs. $10 suggested donation.

Fourth annual Caroling under Gary’s Canopy at 5 p.m. Saturday at Gary’s Greenwood Auto Repair, 7418 Greenwood Ave. N. It’s free, but they’ll pass the hat for donations to the Seattle Times Fund for the Needy. Join the community sing-along (song sheets provided) led by the Phinney Neighborhood Community Chorus around a fire pit, with free hot cider and hot chocolate.

84th Street neighbors between Greenwood and 3rd avenues will put out their annual luminaria at about 5 p.m. Saturday.

Café Bambino, 405 NW 65th St., is hosting “A Shot with Santa” on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your own camera for photos. All donations go to the Ballard Boys & Girls Club. Free hot chocolate and candy canes.

Abigail Lennox and The Beggar Boys’ Christmas Cèilidh at 7 p.m. Sunday at Naked City Brewery, 8564 Greenwood Ave. N.
