Home burglary in south Phinney, more package theft

by | Dec 7, 2016

Jon tells us someone broke into his house and his next door neighbors’ home in the 300 block of North 48th Street around 6 p.m. Sunday. Surveillance pictures captured the man’s face, which is partially covered.

The man broke into Jon’s home through a bedroom window. Several minutes later the alarm went off and the man left. The man kicked in the neighbor’s door.

Here’s another view of the man, with his cross-body bag.

Package thieves continues to plague the neighborhood. Sherry tells us someone ripped open two boxes on her front porch in the 100 block of North 74th Street yesterday. The thief stole a Hunter Douglas motorized cellular shade and a wrapped gift from Calendars.com. However, the thief left behind an Academy Broadway tarp or tent rolled up in a tent bag with the tag still attached. If you find their shade or believe the tent/tarp is yours, call Sherry at 206-650-3865 or Mike at 206-650-3868.

And Erica posted on our Facebook page yesterday with video of a woman stealing a package from her porch at North 70th Street and Dayton Avenue at 2 p.m. on Monday. The woman’s face is not clearly visible but there’s a good view of her from the back, as well as her white car, which was parked at the curb right in front of the house.
