Mayor Ed Murray has announced three new authorized homeless encampment sites, including one at 8620 Nesbit Ave. N., just across Aurora Avenue from Greenwood in the Licton Springs neighborhood.
The Licton Springs site will hold up to 50 tiny houses for 60-70 people.
The other two sites are in Georgetown and White Center. Existing authorized encampments are in Ballard, Interbay and Rainier Valley.
The encampments are part of the city’s long-term plan to address homelessness, called Pathways Home.
