by | Aug 15, 2016

Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery, at 8750 Greenwood Ave. N., is celebrating its first anniversary – what it calls its “annibrewsary” – this week.

Flying Bike is the only cooperative brewery on the west coast. Members receive discounts on beer and other events, and can participate in home-brew competitions, with the winner’s creation sold at the brewery. The brewery is open to the public. Food from next-door Munch Café can be ordered at Flying Bike and delivered to your table at the brewery.

The brewery will have trivia happening all evening, along with member beer specials and birthday cake. The anniversary week will include an Imperial Pale bottle release, Run Club specials, daily guest taps and ice cream floats. Saturday, Aug. 20, Flying Bike will throw itself a big party with live music and “Elmer” barrel-aged Belgian blend draft release. On Sunday, they’ll host a scavenger hunt/beer run 5k/10k fun run.

Check out Flying Bike’s website for week’s calendar of events, and its Facebook page for updates.
