Theater, music, business anniversary party and zoo fun in Greenwood-Phinney this weekend

TITLE Boxing Club is celebrating its one-year anniversary at 112 N. 85th St. with a party from 1:30-3 p.m. on Saturday.

The Park Pub at 6114 Phinney Ave. N. presents a free indie rock concert by The Plaid Perspective from 9-11 p.m. Saturday.

Threshold Ensemble presents “Playback Theater” with Mother’s Day stories from 7:30-9 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 online or $14 at the door.

Woodland Park Zoo’s 26th annual Mom & Me is from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, with half-price admission for moms, live entertainment on the North Meadow and a special look at parenting behaviors during keeper talks focused on maternal care.

If you plan to leave the neighborhood this weekend, remember that the Alaskan Way Viaduct is still closed, so plan for alternate routes and extra time to get where you’re going.

Other events that will affect traffic this weekend:

  • Saturday is Opening Day of boating season with the Windermere Cup crew races on the Montlake Cut from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the boat parade until about 2:30 p.m. The Montlake Bridge will be closed to traffic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Lung Force Walk on Saturday starts and ends at Lake Union Park, with walkers along Mercer Street, Fairview Avenue, Denny Way and Westlake Avenue.
  • The Sounders play San Jose at 7 p.m. Saturday at CenturyLink Field.
  • The Color Run will close down streets around the Seattle Center and downtown from about 5:30 a.m. to about 12 p.m. on Sunday. Buses will be rerouted. Check Metro’s Service Advisories page for reroute info.
