Veterans Day closures

Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11, which is a federal holiday. That means schools, banks and post offices will be closed, along with all branches of the Seattle Public Library and many Seattle Parks and Recreation facilities.
Parks facilities that will be closed:

  • Community centers
  • Teen life centers
  • Environmental learning centers
  • Indoor swimming pools
  • Green Lake Small Craft Center
  • Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center

All boat ramps will remain open, along with the Amy Yee Tennis Center and golf courses at Interbay, Jackson Park, Jefferson Park and West Seattle.
Woodland Park Zoo is offering free admission to all active, retired, and veteran U.S. military personnel and their spouses with valid service identification on Veterans Day. Also, up to four accompanying family members with valid ID will receive $5 off regular zoo admission on Veterans Day. The zoo’s winter hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
