Seattle Parks and Recreation-hosted Halloween events

Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting a lot of Halloween events throughout the city this month. Here are a few in and near our neighborhood.
Halloween Carnival at Loyal Heights Community Center, 2101 NW 77th St., from 6-9 p.m., Oct.23. Carnival games, pumpkin decorating, cake walk, costumes. Game tickets are 50 cents, unlimited bracelet is $12.
Big Pumpkin Bash at Bitter Lake Community Center Annex, 13040 Greenwood Ave. N., from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 24. Carnival games, face painting, cake walk. Game tickets are 25 cents; suggested donation of canned food.
Pumpkin Carving Contest at Green Lake Community Center, from 6-7 p.m. on Oct. 30. For ages 6-11; free.
Pumpkin Swim Friday at Evans Pool, 7201 East Green Lake Dr. N., from 7-8 p.m. on Oct. 30. Swim in a pool full of pumpkins, games, snacks, prizes. Free.
