Dick’s Drive-In Charity Walk-A-Thon is Sunday

by | Sep 30, 2015

The Dick’s Drive-In Charity Walkers are at it again. Phinney Ridge’s JP Osseward and Ballard’s Lars Phillips, plus about 50 friends, will walk 22 miles this weekend between all Dick’s restaurants in the 5th Annual Dick’s Drive-In Change for Charity Walk-A-Thon.

They’ll start at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at the Edmonds location, then visit the other restaurants in Lake City, Holman Road in Crown Hill, Wallingford, Queen Anne and then Broadway.

The walkers have partnered with Dick’s Drive-In and the Spady family (owners of Dick’s) to support the restaurant chain’s Change for Charity partners: Mary’s Place, First Place School, FareStart, ROOTS Young Adult Shelter, The Compass Center, Operation Nightwatch, St. Martin de Porres Shelter and Cocoon House.

Dick’s has created official T-shirts for the event, with all proceeds supporting Change for Charity. Last year the walkers raised more than $2,000.

You can sign up to join them on the walk, or just purchase a T-shirt, through Dick’s online store. And you can find out more information about the walk on the event Facebook page.
