Storytelling, theater, farmers market, live music in Phinney-Greenwood this weekend

Storytelling with Steph from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday at Phinney Books, 7405 Greenwood Ave. N.
Celebrate Summer! Luncheon from 12-2 p.m. Friday at the Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St.
Phinney Farmers Market from 3-7 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.
It’s opening weekend for “Godspell” at Taproot Theater, 204 N. 85th St.
Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., presents a Pacific NW Folklore Society concert with Piper Stock Hill at 7:30 p.m. Friday; Community Sing from 12-1 p.m. Saturday; Purple Death From Outer Space — Professor Fred’s Movies at 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and Kenny Mandell’s Music Improv Session with Randy Doak and Lamar Lofton at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Free Boxing Power Hour from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at Title Boxing Club, 112 N. 85th St.
Free kickboxing trial class from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Emerald City Karate, 8314 Greenwood Ave. N.
Tim’s Tavern, 602 N. 105th St., presents hard rock with MAKLAKThe Finger Guns, and KLAW starting at 9 p.m. Friday, $7 cover charge; and gypsy/jazz/folk/rock with Roma Ransom and MESSAGES starting at 9 p.m. Friday; $7 cover charge.
Artists reception for Andrew Drawbaugh’s digital collage from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Herbs House, 716 NW 65th St. (Patrons must be 21 and over.)
Ballard Seafood Fest is Saturday and Sunday and will close NW Market from 20th to 24th avenues NW, 22nd Avenue NW from NW Market to NW 58th Street, Ballard Avenue NW from NW Market to NW Vernon Place, and Leary Avenue NW from NW Market to NW Vernon Place. About 60,000 people are expected to attend so parking and traffic in Ballard will be tough. Streets close at 8 p.m. for festival set up. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
And the 9th Annual Crown Hill Neighborhood Garage Sale is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Check out the Google Map of all the sales; printed maps will be available after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at Crown Hill Center, 9250 14th Ave. NW.
