Seattle City Light replacing aging utility poles in Broadview, Bitter Lake

by | Jul 8, 2015

Seattle City Light has begun replacing aging utility poles in North Seattle, including just north of Greenwood in Broadview and Bitter Lake. City Light’s contractor, Potelco, will relocate electrical wires from old poles to new poles and replace some of the aging equipment. The work will take about six weeks, with crews working from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Customers may experience a maximum of two maintenance power outages for up to five hours during construction. Crews will place a door hanger or make personal contact 48-72 hours in advance of the outages. The notification will specify the date, time and duration of the outage.
Poles in these work areas will be slightly taller and approximately two inches wider than existing poles.

Check out the project website for maps of construction areas.
