Tens of thousands of people gawking at cool cars at Greenwood Car Show today

Greenwood Avenue is a sea of people from North 67th to 90th streets today, as they take in the annual Greenwood Car Show, with more than 500 classic and cool cars.

Organizers expect about 40,000 people today. The show ends at 4 p.m., with the road reopening about 6 p.m. East-west traffic can get through at 80th and 85th streets.

Hydroplanes were on display in the Safeway parking lot at 87th Street.

The Kids’ Zone is on Morrow Lane (86th Street) with free activities: bounce house for little ones, inflatable slide, temporary tattoos, spin-the-wheel to win prizes, bubbles and chalk art.
