HomeStreet Bank planning to open in March, will have free community meeting room

by | Jan 22, 2015

HomeStreet Bank plans to open on the northwest corner of Greenwood Avenue North and North 73rd Street in March. The building has been under construction since last February. It formerly housed Greenwood Mandarin restaurant. The branch will offer banking, home loans, and investment services.

The new bank will have a community room in the back for neighborhood organizations to rent for free. A HomeStreet spokesperson tells me the room can hold up to 14 people. She said this is the first branch to have a free community room, and the bank plans to add the rooms into more branches in the future. The room will have a separate entrance (the black awning on the left side towards the back in the rendering below) and bathroom for after-hours use.

Free parking is provided in the joint parking lot with Ken’s Market.
