by | Dec 4, 2014

A group of neighbors has been working to create an Emergency Hub in Greenwood that could be activated in the event of a catastrophe, such as an earthquake.

Learn more about the effort from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday during the Emergency Shake-Up Fair at the North Seattle Boys & Girls Club, 8635 Fremont Ave. N.. Meet with representatives from the Red Cross, get child photo safety cards, free blood pressure readings by Seattle Central College Nursing Students, check out a fire truck, receive a flu shot from a Bartell Drugs pharmacist ($25 cash or check), purchase an emergency kit, learn how ham radios work, learn about CPR and first aid, have a free lunch, enter a raffle, and let the kids bounce in the bouncy house.
