Library and 826 Seattle hosting Greenwood Family Forum on Wednesday

The Greenwood Library and nonprofit tutoring center 826 Seattle are co-hosting the Greenwood Family Forum from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N. It’s billed as a “school success night for neighborhood parents and educators.”

Teen Services Librarian, Jennifer Bisson, and 826 Seattle Director of Programming, Alicia Craven, will present on free programs at the library and 826 including resources for students doing research projects, and the chance for parents to sign students up for the free weekend writing workshops offered by 826 Seattle in the winter.

This will be the first of three meetings throughout the year in which community members will gather to listen to guest speakers share expertise on topics of education and socio-emotional development, to converse and to create a community of parents and educators to better support our students.
