Cat may have been killed by a coyote

by | Jul 30, 2014

Diane tells us her cat was killed near NW 79th Street and 3rd Avenue NW on Monday night by what she thinks was a coyote.

It came up on the deck, drank water from our dog’s bowl, and sometime before/after it killed our cat who was outdoors. I actually saw it out the window but its markings looked more like a husky or malamute. Only now do we assume it was a coyote. Our yard is fenced, as well. Just not completely tight, I guess. We’re sad and want to caution others not to leave their animals outside if possible.

Has anyone else seen a coyote in the neighborhood?
