Greenwood Hardware sponsors monthly Fix It Meetups, first Ladies Night is Friday

by | Mar 4, 2014

Greenwood Hardware, 7201 Greenwood Ave. N., hosts monthly Fix It Meetups on the first Wednesday of every month. Meetups are run by the Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Tool Library and are designed to help you fix broken gadgets, instead of throwing them out.

The PNA Fixers Collective is a pretty informal group of folks who meet up simply for the fun of taking stuff apart, putting it back together again, and maybe even fixing some things in the process. The general idea is just to take a moment before throwing something away to figure out if you can save it somehow and prevent yourself from having to buy a replacement. It’s also an excellent way to learn how things work and just enjoy some good company!

This Friday is the store’s first Ladies Night, featuring wine, chocolate, free T-shirts for the first 30 women, raffles, presentations and classes by local professionals, and a 20 percent off sale.

And the hardware store will soon have chicks on sale. They’re taking special orders now, but the store will have regular stock of Barred Rocks and Red Star beginning next week. They already carry feed and other supplies.
