President’s Day reminders

Banks and schools will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17, in honor of President’s Day.
Metro Transit will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Monday, except for some service reductions due to the University of Washington being closed. Don’t forget that Metro’s spring service revisions took effect on Saturday, including the replacement of Route 358 with the new RapidRide E Line along Aurora Avenue.
Seattle Public Utilities will operate on a normal schedule on Monday. Put your garbage, recycling and yard waste out by 7 a.m. as usual if you have a Monday pickup. The City of Seattle’s South Transfer Station in the South Park area will be open on Monday during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (remember that the North Transfer Station in Wallingford/Fremont is closed for renovation).
