Do the Gumshoe and follow clues around Phinney-Greenwood

by | Jul 25, 2013

The annual Gumshoe neighborhood scavenger hunt is back with 30 new clues on the 5K walk throughout Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. The $20 entry fee ($15 each if you buy two or more) is donated to the Greenwood Senior Center, Greenwood Food Bank and Greenwood Elementary PTA.

Forms go on sale Aug. 2 at: Ken’s Market, 7231 Greenwood Ave. N.; Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.; Starbucks, 316 N. 67th St.; Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N.

Return your completed entry form by 6 p.m. on Aug. 11 and be entered to win: a $250, $150 or $100 Fred Meyer gift card; a $75 gift certificate to ‎Phinney Market Pub & Eatery and passes for two adults and two kids to the Woodland Park Zoo with a special behind-the-scenes tour; a $75 gift certificate to The Olive and Grape and tickets for two to a play at Taproot Theatre.

The Gumshoe also includes the Eatsy Street Game, with photographic clues to nine neighborhood restaurants (random drawing from completed entries gets the winner $25 gift certificates from each restaurant). And the included GumShop Game has another nine photo clues of neighborhood shops. Winner gets a $15 gift certificate to each shop.

As a preview to this year’s Gumshoe, we’ll post a photo clue each day from now until the Gumshoe ends on Sunday, Aug. 11. Here’s the first one (photos by Gumshoe Answer Man Mike Veitenhans). Do you know where this is?
