Greenwood’s non-profit writing and tutoring center, 826 Seattle, is gearing up for one of its major annual fundraisers, “Dance Your Cash Off.” The dance marathon takes place at Nectar Lounge in Fremont on June 20.

The idea is to dance five straight hours, starting at 6 p.m. (Registration starts at 5:30 p.m.) Fundraising minimum is $50 (down from last year’s $150).

The event is hosted by radio personality Luke Burbank. DJs are Potatoes O’Brien and Larry Rose of KEXP. Celebrity judges include “Stranger” staff writers Christopher Frizzelle, Jen Graves, Cienna Madrid, Sub Pop staff, and (and others to be announced later).

Last year’s event raised $31,000. Their goal this year is $32,000.
