Help local schools, hungry kids, at 2 neighborhood fundraisers

by | Mar 5, 2013

Tonight is Phinney Market Pub & Eatery’s weekly Trivia Night, with the winning team receiving $100 for the school of their choice. Trivia starts at 8:30 p.m. at 5918 Phinney Ave. N.

And from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Chuck’s Hop Shop’s Good Cause Beer Tasting will benefit the Hunger Intervention Program at Viewlands Elementary, in North Greenwood/Crown Hill.

For a donation of your choice, you can sample some great beers from Pelican Brewery and support HIP while you are at it. We are raising money for our Healthy HIP Packs program, which sends home nutritious foods with 60 kids at risk of hunger each weekend. We have a goal to grow this program to feed 120 children every weekend and you can drink beer to help us do that. HIP Cookbooks, a true collector’s item, will also be available for sale.

No reservations required. Just bring yourself and a friend to Chuck’s Hop Shop at 656 NW 85th St. on March 6th from 6 – 8 pm. Kids are welcome at Chuck’s too! Caravan Crepes will be on hand and Chuck’s serves ice cream as well.
