Live music, theater and anniversary celebration in Greenwood-Phinney this weekend

by | Dec 21, 2012

Take a break from Christmas shopping this weekend and enjoy some great live music in the neighborhood, and a celebration of the anniversary of a local business.
It’s a big weekend for Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., as it celebrates its third anniversary in its new location (after 20 years in its first location). First up on Friday night at 7:30, it’s a Classical Guitar Salon. Then all day Saturday is the book store’s anniversary celebration, with live music and other treats all day long. Then on Sunday at 6 p.m., come listen to the Rhythm Rollers – Northern Tune Open Jam.
Taproot Theatre continues its run of the popular “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol.”
Seattle Folklore Society presents a Winter Solstice concert of instrumental music, songs and poetry, with Stanley and Kip Greenthal, and special guests Jamie Laval and Christos Govetas. More information and reservations online, or call 206-528-8523.
