Attorney pleads not guilty to rape and sexual assault of Greenwood massage clinic employees

The attorney accused of raping and sexually assaulting several employees of massage clinics, including the Carnation Chinese Massage Clinic at 602 NW 85th St. in Greenwood, pleaded not guilty this morning.
The King County Prosecutor’s Office says Danford Grant is accused of sexually assaulting massage therapists in Seattle, Shoreline and Bellevue.

The defendant entered a not guilty plea. A case setting hearing is set for October 24 at 1 p..m. before Judge Mary Yu at the King County Courthouse, courtroom W-928. Grant is charged with Rape First and Second Degree and Attempted Rape Second Degree for sexually assaulting two women at a massage business in Greenwood. He attempted to rape a woman at the massage clinic in July. A second employee was raped at knifepoint in mid-September, and was sexually assaulted again on September 24. Grant is also charged with Rape First Degree and Burglary First Degree for raping a massage therapist who was working from her home in Shoreline, and Rape First Degree for raping a masseuse at knifepoint in Bellevue. Grant, 47, remains in jail on $3 million bail.
