SDOT has rescheduled Greenwood Avenue lane striping for Tuesday and Wednesday

by | Jun 25, 2012

Last week’s scheduled striping of the new pavement on Greenwood Avenue North got postponed because of rain, so now Seattle Department of Transportation has rescheduled it for tomorrow and Wednesday (again, weather permitting).

Crews on North 85th Street are currently breaking up concrete between Greenwood Avenue North and Aurora Avenue North. All eastbound traffic is being detoured to North 80th Street, and westbound traffic down to one lane. It’s a real mess to drive through, so try to take an alternate route.

From SDOT:

Demolition, excavation and replacement of concrete roadway panels and some curbs and sidewalks continues on the north and south sides of N 85th St.

Construction activities will temporarily affect access to driveways. You will be notified in advance if your driveway will be impacted.

Access to/from N 85th St at Dayton Ave N and Linden Ave N (north side) are expected to close starting this week.

Storm drainage improvements at Dayton Ave N and Linden Ave N will take place prior to the closures.

Note: Phinney Ave N and Fremont Ave N must reopen before Dayton Ave N and Linden Ave N close.

Left-turn restrictions at Aurora Ave N and N 80th St: Left-turn restrictions onto Aurora Ave N at N 80th St were recently implemented to improve traffic flow and reduce backups along the detour route. This traffic restriction is temporary and will be removed after the N/NW 85th St Paving Project is completed this fall.

Remember that all businesses are open during construction, even if they’re a little hard to get to!
