Rocks thrown through Mayor McGinn’s Greenwood home windows

by | May 2, 2012

Someone threw rocks through two windows of Mayor Mike McGinn’s house in Greenwood early this morning.
It happened at about 12:35 a.m. at the corner of North 87th Street and Dayton Avenue North. According to the police report, the mayor’s wife told Seattle Police she heard glass breaking. She looked outside and saw two people standing in the street. One waved at her before they both walked away.
One window was shattered. The second window had just the outer pane of glass broken.
You can see the police report from our news partners The Seattle Times.
Update 1 p.m.: I drove by early this afternoon and two police cars were parked outside the mayor’s house. I have a message in to SPD for more information about the incident and police protection for his house, but haven’t heard back yet.
