Phinney Ridge Community Council annual meeting features experts on energy conservation, board nominations

The Phinney Ridge Community Council will hold its annual meeting next Tuesday, May 1, focusing on home and business energy conservation, sustainable landscaping, eco-construction, passive building, and “green” building incentives and rebates.
Speakers include: Andrea Petzel  from the City of Seattle, talking about conservation services and rebates; Passivhaus and green building and retrofit specialists Rob Harrison and Brett Phillips; Sunshine Construction’s Jon Alexander; and site-planning, sustainable landscaping specialist Jan Satterthwaite.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments and socializing. The Energy Conservation Program begins at 7 p.m. Nominations for new PRCC Board Members will be taken throughout the meeting until voting begins at 8:20 p.m.

The Phinney Ridge Community Council (PRCC) is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization that is part of a network of neighborhood based community councils that advise local government on issues such as public safety, transportation, land use and budget priorities. Phinney Ridge is defined as Aurora Avenue to 8th Avenue NW and North 46th Street to North 75th Street.
