Art, live music, book signing, story time and more in Greenwood-Phinney this weekend

It’s a busy weekend in the PhinneyWood ‘hood. Here are some higlights. Check out our Events calendar any time for more.
The monthly Art Up Artwalk is from 6-9 p.m. Friday. Several dozen galleries and other businesses in the neighborhood will be hosting art and music tonight, and some restaurants have Artwalk specials. Check out the Artwalk website for a full list of participating venues, plus a map.
The Pacific NW Folklore Society presents Underground Swing at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N.
Santoro’s Books is hosting a book release party for Rick Swann, the librarian at nearby Daniel Bagley Elementary at Green Lake, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. “Our School Garden” is Swann’s first picture book.
Mud Bay Greenwood and Seattle Animal Shelter are hosting a Fabulous Felines Cat Adoptathon from 12-3 p.m. Saturday at Mud Bay, 8532 1st Ave. N.
Spanish Story Time at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N.
Colette Pattern Book Signing at 6 p.m. Saturday at Made Sewing Studios, 8408 Greenwood Ave. N.
Small Time String Band at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N.
Jes Raymond and Connor Garvey in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday at Empty Sea Studios, 6300 Phinney Ave. N
Greenwood’s own Made Sewing Studio is leading a crafty workshop at this weekend’s Bicycle Expo at Smith Cove Cruise Terminal 91. Made experts will teach cyclists how to make a stylish cycling cap out of an old blazer, skirt or pair of pants from the closet or thrift store. The workshop is from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday in the Cascade Cycling DIY booth.
The Wing Dome kicks off its March Mayhem Bracketology on Sunday. Basketball fans can play against the Wing Man for the chance to win free wings for a year. Pre-register now (it’s free).
