Dick’s Drive-Ins giving free burgers to military members on Veterans Day

by | Nov 10, 2011

All six locations of Dick’s Drive-Ins, including the one in nearby Crown Hill at 9208 Holman Rd. NW, will give one free hamburger or cheeseburger to any veteran or active military member from 10:30 a.m. until closing on Friday, in honor of Veterans Day. Service members or vets can show any form of military I.D. or wear their uniform.
Dick’s founder Dick Spady is a veteran of two wars, and Dick’s Drive-Ins provides support to the local USO at Sea-Tac Airport and Joint Base Lewis McChord.
“I served in the Navy in World War II and the Air Force during the Korean War. My wife was in the Navy when we met and now I have a granddaughter serving in the Navy,” Spady said in a press release. “Our family holds a deep respect and admiration for our veterans and active military members. They deserve our recognition and gratitude.”
