Northwest District Council meets Wednesday

The Northwest District Council’s monthly meeting is from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St.
On the agenda:

  • Setting the Course for Seattle’s Climate Action Plan, Sara Wysocki- City of Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment
  • The Future for Transit Serving NW District Neighborhoods, Ashley DeForest, King County DOT

In September 2012 King County will initiate service on the “D Line” (Rapid Ride service to NW Seattle on the 15th Avenue corridor) and is currently finalizing the alignment and stop spacing for the “E Line” (service along Aurora from Shoreline to Downtown). As a result, Metro Transit expects a number of modifications to existing transit service in NW Seattle. We can also expect to see changes in our Metro Transit services resulting from the County’s recently adopted Strategic Plan and associated Service Guidelines.

  • Reports by Council Staff Rob Mattson on the 2011 District Council Outreach/Engagement Fund, and by Irene Wall of the City Neighborhood Council.
