Food Lifeline needs help sorting donations for food banks like Greenwood’s

by | Jul 26, 2011

Food Lifeline’s Shoreline warehouse needs individuals and families to help sort and label donations headed to food banks, including theVolunteers of America Greenwood Food Bank at 9041 Greenwood Ave. N.

During a 2-3 hour volunteer session we can process 1,000’s of pounds of nutritious food for those in need. We work with over 9,000 volunteers each year from every neighborhood in Seattle!
New Save the Day opportunities are posted weekly at www.FoodLifeline.org and are often evenings or Saturdays. Children as young as 6 are welcome to attend unless otherwise noted. Online registration is required. For safety, please no drop-ins. Sign-up here to be emailed when new sessions are posted. All sessions are at our Shoreline Volunteer Repack Center at 1702 NE 150th St, Shoreline, WA 98155.
Our projects change from week to week, but we always find something great and rewarding for you to work on, be it labeling packaged products, inspecting and sorting food donations, or repackaging bulk donated products. Regardless, it’s always fun and gets thousands of pounds of food out to those that need it.
